Whether It's One Session or
a Long-Term Partnership
Some clubs need a single workshop — a mental skills session before finals, a team debrief after a tough stretch, a one-off assessment. Others want something deeper: a psychologist present at training, available around games, woven into the performance culture they’re building. We work both ways, and everything in between.
When it is an ongoing relationship, we don’t parachute in with a generic program. We learn your environment, your people, and your goals — working alongside your coaching staff, medical team, and performance managers as a genuine part of your high-performance structure. What matters is that however we show up, we show up properly.
Programs built around your season,
your squad, your goals.
Every program is custom-scoped. The four program types below represent the most common frameworks — your engagement will likely draw from more than one.
Team Culture & Cohesion
High-performing teams don't just have talent — they have shared identity, trust, and a culture that holds together under pressure. This program builds the psychological foundations of collective performance.
Group Resilience Programs
A season-structured mental conditioning framework that builds collective resilience across the playing group — pre-season foundations, in-season maintenance, and post-season review.
Performance Psychology Workshops
Targeted workshops delivering specific mental performance skills to your playing group. Can be standalone or integrated into broader programs. Practical, applied, and immediately usable.
Ongoing Embedded Support
Our highest-impact model. Reece and his team become a regular, visible presence within your performance environment — available to players, integrated with your coaching staff, and tracking program outcomes across the full season.

Questions from
coaches and administrators.
These are the questions we most commonly field from coaches, high performance managers, and club administrators before a first conversation.
Ready to have a conversation about what a program might look like for your organisation?
How do we structure a program around our season?
This is the first thing we map out together in the discovery call. We build the program around your actual season structure — pre-season, competition blocks, finals, off-season. A typical season program has heavier intervention investment in pre-season (culture and framework building), lighter maintenance touch during the competition window, and a review or reset component post-season. We’ve delivered across QRL and WNBL calendar structures.
What does a typical team program actually include?
It varies significantly by organisation and goals — which is why we scope individually. A typical engagement might include: fortnightly group workshops with the playing group, monthly individual check-ins available for all players, monthly briefings with the coaching and medical staff, and a season-start and season-end review report. We can also run one-off workshops as a starting point if a full program isn’t the right first step.
Is psychological support confidential from the playing group and coaching staff?
Individual sessions with players are completely confidential — the same ethical obligations that apply to any AHPRA registered psychologist apply here. We will never report individual player content to coaching staff without the player’s consent.
Do you work within our existing medical and performance staff structure?
Yes — and this is central to how we operate. Active Health Psychology doesn’t position itself as an external add-on. We integrate with your existing performance staff: physiotherapists, S&C coaches, sports scientists, and the coaching group. Information you share with us is confidential, and that information only gets shared with your consent and if it is necessary for treatment.
Reece’s experience at the Cowboys HPC means he’s comfortable operating within a professional multi-disciplinary performance structure. We take our lead from your leadership on how visible and integrated you want us to be.
What does a team program cost?
Programs are custom-scoped, so there’s no standard price list. Cost depends on program scope, delivery frequency, squad size, and whether you’re engaging for a fixed workshop, a seasonal program, or ongoing embedded support. We provide a transparent, itemised proposal after the discovery call.
We're not a professional organisation - can you still work with us?
Yes. Our flagship partnerships are at the elite professional level, but we’ve worked with semi-professional, representative, and community club environments across North Queensland. The program scope and investment is different, but the methodology and quality of delivery is the same. If you’re building a performance culture and want genuine psychological expertise as part of that, we want to have the conversation.
